2026 Black History Month Celebration recipient, Southampton Fire Department Chief Polis Walker • Southampton, NY

The Town of Southampton proudly joined the Suffolk County Executive’s Office of Multicultural Affairs and Community Engagement to honor our 2026 Black History Month Celebration recipient, Southampton Fire Department Chief Polis Walker.

Under the theme “Honoring the Past, Empowering the Future,” Councilmember Tom Neely, County Legislator Ann Welker, and Dr. Jim Banks, joined in recognizing  Fire Chief Walker’s outstanding leadership, decades of public service, and commitment to the safety and well -being of the Southampton community.
