East Hampton Town Welcomes Six New Police Officers After Suffolk County Police Academy Graduation • East Hampton Town, NY



The Town of East Hampton is proud to welcome six new police officers following their graduation from the Suffolk County Police Academy as part of Class 25-194.

The Town’s newest officers are Julie Catalanotti, Abraham Badillo, Michael Letscher, John Lowe, Tyler Kilmnick, and Corin Ingui.

“On behalf of the Town Board and the entire East Hampton community, I want to congratulate Julie, Abraham, Michael, John, Tyler, and Corin on this accomplishment,” said Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez. “This is a proud day for these six officers, for their families, and for our community. Graduating from the Police Academy takes hard work, discipline, and a passion for serving others. We are proud to welcome them to the East Hampton Town Police Department, and I wish them long, safe, and successful careers.”

“Congratulations to our academy graduates on this milestone accomplishment,” said Police Chief Michael Sarlo. “These six officers are now assigned to field training for the next 8 to 10 weeks and will be ready to be included in full patrol staffing for the summer. With additional positions added to the 2026 budget, we are actively continuing the hiring process and hope to fill those openings soon as well.”

East Hampton Town also congratulates all of the recruits who graduated as part of Suffolk County Police Academy Class 25-194.
