What: Town of Southampton Pet Vaccination & Licensing Day (a pop-up vaccination and licensing event)

Who: Southampton Town Councilmember, Michael Iasilli Southampton Town Clerk, Sundy Schermeyer Public Safety Director, Ryan Murphy Southampton Animal Shelter Executive Director, Chris Teakle Humane Long Island Executive Director, John Di Leonardo 

When: Tuesday, Sept 30, 2025 – 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Where: Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY 11968

Why: The Town has observed a drop in the number of dog licenses throughout the last couple of years. In order to remind the community of the licensing process and ensure the safety of our pets and fellow neighbors, Councilmember Iasilli, along with Clerk Sundy Schermeyer and Public Safety Director Ryan Murphy, will be collaborating with the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation’s volunteers and Humane Long Island to host a pet vaccination and licensing event.

** The event will kick off with a short press conference to highlight the event’s importance. This event will be free of cost and will provide a meaningful opportunity for residents to safeguard and properly license their furry companions. We encourage local residents to participate in this meaningful initiative as attendees will learn more about the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation’s mission, explore opportunities to adopt or foster a pet in need, while also exploring the importance of safeguarding our pets and how it contributes to a healthier, safer Town.
