Additional Track Work (Updated: 11/14/2025 @ 1:00pm)
The work at the Gleason Drive Crossing will now take place tomorrow, Saturday, November 15th, from 3 PM to 7 PM. We’ll be installing signage later today, so folks know what to expect.
During the work duration, vehicles won’t be able to cross, but our crew will have a road plate on hand in case first responders need to get through!
No work is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 16th!

Gleason Drive Grade Crossing Closure
The Gleason Drive grade crossing will be closed on Sunday, November 16, from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM for continued rehabilitation work, including pull-pad installation and surface improvements.
Advance signage will be posted to keep the community informed.
- No vehicular access will be permitted across the crossing during this time.
- A road plate will be available on site for use only by first responders, if needed.
Jagger Path Crossing – Rehabilitation Work
Beginning at 4:00 AM on Saturday, November 15, through 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, crews will be performing rehabilitation work at the Jagger Path Crossing in Speonk.
- There will be no through access across the crossing for the duration of this work.
Thank you for your patience as these important safety and infrastructure improvements are completed.
Please be advised that from 10:30 PM, Friday, November 14, through 2:30 AM, Monday, November 17, buses will replace trains between Speonk and Montauk to accommodate necessary track maintenance.
This work is essential to enhance the safety, reliability, and performance of our system.
