2026 Residential Recycling Permits
Permits will be available for purchase at the Town Clerk’s Office and the East Hampton Recycling Center. Permits are required by April 1, 2026. You can pay with cash or check—please make the check out to, “East Hampton Town.”
- Residential Primary permits are $130.00.
- Seniors aged 65 and above are $55.00
- Secondary permits are $55.00
How to obtain a replacement recycling permit without charge
- New vehicle: Remove the old sticker from the bumper (even if in pieces—the sticker, not the bumper) and bring it in with the permanent vehicle registration.
- Damaged permit: Bring in the damaged permit (even if in pieces) along with your permanent vehicle registration.
- If no permit is brought back, you will need to purchase another permit.
Beach Parking and Beach Driving Permits
Resident permits expire on the 31st of December in the years ending in a 0 or 5. Resident permits will still be issued free of charge, and they can be obtained at the Clerk’s Office on Pantigo Road, the annex at the Montauk Playhouse, or by mail, all with proper documentation. Please mail to,
