Cantwell Court Affordable Housing Subdivision

The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) is pleased to share that on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Governor Hochul announced  a $7,040,000 award to the Town to provide and site CrossMod homes at Cantwell Court following the Town’s successful application to the New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) Move-In NY program in November.

CrossMods have the potential to significantly reduce construction costs and timelines, and homes developed under the program will be available to purchase for households earning up to 130% of the Nassau-Suffolk County Area Median Income.

Eligible applicants will initially be selected from the OHCD’s existing Homeownership Program waitlist.

Presently, OHCD is coordinating next steps with HCR and will provide additional details as they become available.
