Geographic Information System (GIS) | East Hampton Town, NY


The Town’s GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a division of the Information Technology Department.

We are tasked with Providing and maintaining GIS resources and products to Town government as well as the public.

There are a number of public resources provided below.  You will see links to Web Mapping Applications as well as published maps.  We are always striving to produce more resources for the public and working to increase the available mapping applications.  Check back periodically for additional GIS resources as they become available.

Property Search

Click on link above and use this Mapping application to search for Properties in East Hampton and find things like zoning and other overlay districts.

 

Water Protection District Search

Click on link above and search for your property and determine if you are in the Water Protection District.  Inclusion in the district may make your property eligible for certain programs.

 

Wainscott Waters Supply District Search

Click on link above and search for your property and determine if you are in the Wainscott Water Supply District.  Inclusion in the district may make your property eligible for certain programs.

Here are some additional Public GIS resources outside of the Town that are helpful:

 

  • Suffolk County Public viewer – An interactive GIS web map that lets users view and query county-wide geographic data (like parcel, infrastructure, environmental, and jurisdictional layers) by address or tax parcel.
  • FEMA FIRM Mapper – A tool for viewing FEMA’s Flood Insurance Rate Maps and related flood hazard data to help understand flood risk zones and regulatory floodplain designations used under the National Flood Insurance Program.
  • USFWS Coastal Barrier Resources System (CBRS)  Mapper – A web mapping application that displays the extent of designated Coastal Barrier Resources System units, enabling users to see whether a location falls within these protected coastal barrier areas.
  • NYS GIS Data Site – The New York State GIS Clearinghouse, a searchable repository of GIS data, maps, and applications from state and partner agencies for download and use by the public and professionals.
