LIRR Notification: River Avenue Road Bridge Replacement Project • Southampton, NY

🚧 RIVER AVENUE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT – EASTPORT

The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) will begin the initial phases of the River Avenue Bridge Replacement Project in Eastport during the week of October 26, 2026.

Originally built in 1907, the bridge is currently closed to traffic. The project will replace the aging structure with a new bridge meeting current NYSDOT standards, along with roadway and drainage improvements.

🚧 Construction Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

🚗 Detour: Motorists should continue using South Bay Avenue.
