NYS Plus One Accessory Dwelling Unit Grant Program 

New York State Plus One ADU Grant Program

Administered by Community Development Long Island (CLDI), the New York State Plus One ADU grant program is providing 16 East Hampton property owners with grants of up to $115,000 (net) to construct an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) that will be rented affordably to a community member or used to house a family member.

Several new ADUs have already been completed, others are in the planning and design phase, and some are presently under construction. The ADUs will be subject to all Town Code requirements, including a limit on the rent that can be charged (130 percent of the federal HUD Fair Market Rent standards currently in effect).

The application period for the Plus One grant program ended as of October, 2024.  

CLDI and The Town of East Hampton will announce additional funding opportunities if and when future rounds open.
